New bespoke house at Clachan Farm on the Rosneath Peninsula currently under construction. The overall scale & form is that of a traditional farmhouse with a main house of 1 & 3/4 storey, with a rectangular plan and a simple pitched roof and gables. The design utilises the natural qualities of the site with a passive solar proposal thus creating a highly efficient dwelling with minimum need for heating & use of fuel. The construction of the superstructure will be all timber from sustainable resources with highly glazed easterly and southerly elevations. The timber cladding is a traditional and sustainable material which respects & compliments the surrounding buildings and integrates the new dwelling into its context.
